Severstal Cherepovets, the main steel producing facility of Severstal Russian Steel, has announced the completion of the reconstruction of cranes at its Kolpino-based flat rolling shop No. 3.

During the reconstruction, the magnetic lifters of cranes Nos. 16, 17, 34 and 35 were replaced with new vacuum lifters, which will allow Severstal Cherepovets to preserve the surface quality of its flat steel.

The reconstruction was carried out within the framework of Severstal Cherepovets' investment project and amounted to a value of Ruble 36 million (approx. $1.38 million).
