New car registrations in EU up 11.4 percent in January-February

In February this year, new passenger car registrations in the EU rose by 11.5 percent year on year to 802,763 units, according to the European association of car manufacturers ACEA.

In the given month, all major countries, including Spain (+19.2%), Italy (+17.4%), Germany (+2.8%) and France (+9.4%), reported positive results.

In the first two months of this year, new car registrations grew by 11.4 percent year on year to about 1.6 million units. Spain saw the sharpest rise with an increase of 32.1 percent, followed by Italy (+18.2%), France (+9.1%) and Germany (+0.2%), year on year.
