Liuzhou Steel posts record crude and finished steel outputs in 2010

According to the production results issued by Guangxi Province-based Chinese steel producer Liuzhou Steel Group, in 2010 the company produced 9.17 million mt of pig iron, 10 million mt of crude steel and 10.2 million mt of finished steel products. The outputs of crude steel and finished steel both constitute all-time record annual outputs for Liuzhou Steel.
 
During the period of July-September 2010, Liuzhou Steel dismantled four blast furnaces, representing 2 million mt of steelmaking capacity. Since its new converter was put into production in 2008, Liuzhou Steel has consistently increased its overall steelmaking capacity.
