Baogang plans to produce 16.0 million mt of crude steel in 2023

In 2023, Inner Mongolia-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. (Baogang) plans to produce 14.77 million mt of pig iron, 16.0 million mt of crude steel and 15.14 million mt of finished steel, which will be higher than the outputs recorded in the previous year. In 2022, Baogang had produced 13.2765 million mt of pig iron, 14.1846 million mt of crude steel and 13.4427 million mt of finished steel.

In 2023, Baogang is targeting an operating revenue of RMB 85.9 billion ($12.4 billion), up 16.1 percent compared to RMB 74.0 billion in 2022.
