Italy’s industrial output index down one percent in Nov from Oct

According to ISTAT, Italy's national statistics office, in November last year the seasonally adjusted index of Italian industrial production decreased by one percent compared to October and was down 7.6 percent compared to November 2011 when data adjusted for calendar effects are considered.
 
Meanwhile, in the September-November quarter Italy's industrial production index decreased by 1.7 percent compared to preceding quarter. In addition, in the first 11 months of 2012 the index was down 6.6 percent compared to the same period of 2011.
 
The index for Italian metal and metal products production (except equipment and machinery) fell 1.5 percent in November compared to October and was down 1.7 percent quarter on quarter in September-November. Meanwhile, on year-on-year basis, the index decreased by 8.4 percent and 7.2 percent respectively in November and in the January-November period.
