India’s Tata Steel sees 2% rise in finished steel output in Q2 FY 2022-23

India’s Tata Steel Limited achieved finished steel production of 4.81 million mt in the second quarter (July-September) of the fiscal year 2022-23, up two percent year on year, a company statement said on Monday, October 10.

The company reported finished steel sales of 4.91 million mt during the quarter, up seven percent.

Sales to the automotive and special products segment were up three percent on the back of the recovery across sub-segments including passenger vehicles and two wheelers, the company said in its statement.
