India’s SMEL sees consolidated net profit rise 18% in Q1 FY 2026-27

India’s Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited (SMEL) achieved a consolidated net profit of INR 3,450 million ($35.77 million) in the first quarter (April-June) of the fiscal year 2026-27, a rise of 18 percent year on year, according to a company statement on Tuesday, July 21.

The company reported total revenues of INR 54.55 billion ($565.63 million), a rise of 23.3 percent year on year.

SMEL’s product mix includes iron ore pellets, rebar, structural steel, ferroalloys and aluminum foils.
