India’s AMNS to complete capacity doubling of Hazira mill by 2026

India’s ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel Limited (AMNS) will complete the doubling of the capacity of its Hazira Steel mill in Gujarat by 2026 to 15 million mt per year, ArcelorMittal Limited’s executive chairman L. N. Mittal said in statement on Thursday, September 28.

He said that over 20,000 people are involved in the expansion project which is estimated to cost $7.23 billion.

“It is our target to double our production capacity in the first phase and then triple it in the second phase,” Mittal said.
