Vietnam-based steel producer Hoa Phat Group has inaugurated a new steel pipe manufacturing facility in Tay Ninh, marking a key step in expanding its presence in southern Vietnam and strengthening its export capabilities. The project significantly increases the company’s production capacity while reinforcing its leadership in the domestic steel pipe market.

New plant adds 400,000 mt/year capacity

On April 18, Hoa Phat Group held the inauguration ceremony for the Hoa Phat Long An Steel Pipe Factory in Tay Ninh province. With an annual capacity of 400,000 mt, the new facility raises the company’s total steel pipe production capacity to 1.2 million mt. Following this expansion, Hoa Phat continues to hold the leading position in Vietnam’s steel pipe market with nearly 35 percent market share.

Focus on sustainability with solar energy investment

The plant is built on a 15-hectare site with total investment exceeding VND 2 trillion ($97.04 million). It features fully synchronized and modern production lines imported entirely from G7 countries.

In line with Vietnam’s green development policies, Hoa Phat has integrated sustainability into the project. The company installed a 10 MW rooftop solar power system, allowing the plant to generate more than 50 percent of its electricity needs internally.
