Full operation at German tandem mill to take 2 months

One of the major German steel makers, ThyssenKrupp Steel reported that following the commencement of production at its tandem mill at its cold rolling plant in Dortmund after the fire which took place in November last year, production is improving. Company, aiming to start operating again at full production within two months period, stated that this will be possible through further upgrading works. The mill, serving to the automotive sector with a 2.3 million mts production capacity per annum, started trial production back on December 31, 2003.
