European commercial vehicle registrations up 2.7 percent in February

In February this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) increased by 2.7 percent year on year to 164,788 units, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA). 
 
In February of the current year, growth continued to be driven by the Spanish (+12.8%) and Italian (+11.4%) markets, while the United Kingdom (-2.6%) and Germany (-0.3%) performed less well than in February 2016.
  
In the first two months of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled 338,947 units, up 5.6 percent on year-on-year basis. Spain (+18 percent), Italy (+11.3 percent), France (+6.6 percent), Germany (+1.1 percent) and the UK (+0.8 percent) recorded increases, all year on year.
