EU commercial vehicle registrations up eight percent in 2010

New registrations for commercial vehicles in the EU increased by 12.5 percent in December on year-on-year basis with growth in all segments except buses and coaches which recorded a 1.4 percent drop in demand, according to a report released by the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA). Meanwhile, annual growth in 2010 was recorded as eight percent.

Registrations for light commercial vehicles in the EU increased by 8.4 percent in December on year-on-year basis, reaching 132,201 vehicles. Meanwhile, in 2010, new light commercial vehicle registrations in the EU amounted to 1,488,848 units, or 8.7 percent more than 2009.
