CSC posts slight increase in April steel output

Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in April this year its steel production volume totaled 764,452 metric tons, increasing 0.8 percent compared to March and down 1.9 percent compared to the same month last year.

In April, CSC's sales volume was 785,418 metric tons, down 3.1 percent compared to the previous month and 3.6 percent year on year.

In the month in question, the steelmaker's sales revenues amounted to NTD 18.97 billion ($649.91 million), decreasing by 2.8 percent month on month and 8.6 percent year on year.
