In the first two months of this year, Colombia did not export any ferronickel, while its ferronickel exports in March alone amounted to 15,034 mt, up by 24.2 percent, and were worth $46.13 million, rising by 11.1 percent, both year on year, as announced by the Colombian National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE).
In the January-March period of this year, Colombian iron and steel exports amounted to 35,104 mt, falling by 43.8 percent, and were worth $88.56 million, down by 43.0 percent, both on year-on-year basis. In March alone, Colombian iron and steel exports amounted to 23,469 mt, advancing by 0.8 percent, and were worth $62.68 million, up by 6.6 percent, both compared to the same month of 2025.
