Colombia’s iron and steel export volume down 70.3% in Jan-Feb 2026

In February and the first two months of this year, Colombia did not export any ferronickel, as announced by the Colombian National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE).

In the January-February period of this year, Colombian iron and steel exports amounted to 11,635 mt, falling by 70.3 percent, and were worth $25.88 million, down by 73.2 percent, both on year-on-year basis. In February alone, Colombian iron and steel exports amounted to 5,592 mt, decreasing by 71.3 percent, and were worth $12.66 million, down by 72.0 percent, both compared to the same month of 2025.
