China’s net stainless steel exports up 3.22 percent in June

In June this year, China’s stainless steel imports amounted to 118,100 mt, down 16.67 percent month on month and decreasing by 56.47 percent year on year, according to China’s customs authorities.

In June, China’s stainless steel exports totaled 343,300 mt, down 2.48 percent month on month and down 29.92 percent year on year.

In the January-June period this year, China’s stainless steel imports and exports amounted to 842,800 mt and 2.0389 million mt, down 49.98 percent and 15.77 percent year on year, respectively.

In June, China’s net export volume of stainless steel reached 225,200 mt, up 7.03 percent month on month, while increasing by 3.02 percent year on year. In the first six months this year, China’s net export volume of stainless steel totaled 1.1961 million mt, up 23.19 percent year on year.

At the same time, in June, China’s stainless steel scrap imports amounted to 18,001 mt, down 29.4 percent month on month, while up 128.32 percent year on year. In the January-June period this year, China’s stainless steel scrap imports reached 184,194 mt, up 578.16 percent year on year.
