China’s FAI in transportation up 9.1% to RMB 1.83 trillion in H1

Total fixed asset investments (FAI) in transportation in China in the first six months this year totaled RMB 1.83 trillion ($0.26 trillion), up 9.1 percent year on year, as announced by China’s Ministry of Transportation (MOT).

Total fixed asset investments (FAI) in roads and waterways in China in the January-June period this year amounted to RMB 1.48 trillion ($0.21 trillion), up 9.8 percent year on year.   

In particular, the FAI in constructions of roads, waterways, inland rivers and coastal facilities in China in the given period amounted to RMB 1.38 trillion ($0.19 trillion), RMB 93.65 billion ($13.1 billion), RMB 49.5 billion ($6.9 billion) and RMB 42.0 billion ($5.9 billion), up 8.9 percent, 26.7 percent, 41.6 percent and 8.8 percent, year on year, respectively.
