Brazil's motor vehicle output down 15.4 percent in June from May

Brazil's motor vehicle output (excluding agricultural vehicles) in June this year decreased by 15.4 percent from the previous month and rose by 15.1 percent year on year to 212,281 units, according to the Brazilian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Anfavea). Meanwhile, in the first half of this year, the country's motor vehicle output (excluding agricultural vehicles) grew by 23.3 percent year on year to 1,263,231 units.

New motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) in Brazil totaled 194,954 units in June this year, down 0.3 percent compared to May and increasing by 13.5 percent year on year. In the first six months, the country's new motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) increased by 3.7 percent year on year to 1,019,445 units. 

Meanwhile, Brazil's motor vehicle exports in June this year (excluding agricultural vehicles) totaled 66,059 units, decreasing by 9.3 percent compared to the previous month and up 40.9 percent year on year. In the first half of this year, Brazil's motor vehicle exports totaled 372,563 units, up 57.2 percent year on year.
