Brazil's motor vehicle output down 9.2 percent in September from August

Brazil's motor vehicle output (excluding agricultural vehicles) in September this year decreased by 9.2 percent from the previous month and rose by 39.1 percent year on year to 236,944 units, according to the Brazilian Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Anfavea). Meanwhile, in the first nine months of this year, the country's motor vehicle output (excluding agricultural vehicles) grew by 27 percent year on year to 1,986,654 units.

New motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) in Brazil totaled 199,211 units in September this year, down eight percent compared to August and increasing by 24.5 percent year on year. In the January-September period of this year, the country's new motor vehicle registrations (excluding agricultural vehicles) increased by 7.4 percent year on year to 1,620,005 units. 

Meanwhile, Brazil's motor vehicle exports in September this year (excluding agricultural vehicles) totaled 60,049 units, decreasing by 10.1 percent compared to the previous month and up 52.2 percent year on year. In the first nine months of this year, Brazil's motor vehicle exports totaled 566,266 units, up 55.7 percent year on year.
