Bayi Steel commissions reheating furnace No. 3

Chinese steel giant Baosteel Group has announced that its Xinjiang-based subsidiary Bayi Iron and Steel Co. (Bayi Steel) has commissioned the walking beam reheating furnace No. 3 at its steel plate plant. The plant in question has an annual output capacity of over 1.2 million mt.

The reheating furnace is mainly utilized for heating carbon structural steel, low-alloy structural steel and pipeline steel. The presence of oxynitrides can be greatly reduced during the heating process.
