Automotive sales in Turkey down 0.5 percent in January-November

In November this year, sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey increased by 5.3 percent year on year and by 24.5 percent month on month to 121,094 units, according to the statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD). In the given month, domestic sales of passenger cars in Turkey moved up by 3.5 percent year on year and by 25.0 percent month on month to 94,595 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles increased by 12.2 percent year on year and by 22.6 percent month on month to 26,499 units.

In the January-November period this year, domestic sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles saw a decrease of 0.5 percent year on year, amounting to 1,068,260 units. In the given period, domestic sales of passenger cars in the country grew by 0.5 percent to 845,530 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles fell by 4.4 percent to 222,730 units, both on year-on-year basis.
