Prices within the US domestic A53 standard pipe market are still on the rise.

Prices for Grade A and Grade B ERW BPE standard pipe are up by $1.00 cwt. ($22/mt or $20/nt) on the bottom end since our last report two weeks ago; current prices for Grade A are now trending at $56-$60 cwt. ($1235-$1323/mt or $1120-$1200/nt), ex-mill, while Grade B pricing is trending at $61-$65 cwt ($1345-$1433/mt or $1220-$1300/nt), ex-mill.

As with numerous other product lines, sources close to SteelOrbis are reporting a strong belief that prices will hold stable through the remainder of the summer, and into Q3, but are likely to face downward pricing pressure from import material once it begins to arrive at US ports toward the end of the year.

Buyers are still largely wary about holding large stocks of inventory at current high price-points, which are up by $10 cwt. ($220/nt or $200/nt) from the same reporting period in 2017.
