Spot market prices for US domestic standard pipe have revised downward in the past month, a trend which is largely linked to soft HRC and scrap prices.

Current prices for US domestic Grade B standard pipe are down an additional $1.00 cwt. ($22/mt or $20/nt) since our last report two weeks ago, when prices were heard at $56.50-$57.50 cwt. ($1,246-$1,268/mt or $1,130-$1,150/nt), ex-mill. Grade A standard pipe prices continue to trend approximately $2.50 cwt. ($55/mt or $50/nt) below the Grade B spot market price range.

US domestic standard pipe prices are expected to stabilize once flat rolled steel prices begin to level.
