The most commonly reported spot price transaction range for US domestic HSS tubing continues to trend in the range of $45-$46 cwt. ($992-$1,014/mt or $900-$920/nt), ex-mill, although sources close to SteelOrbis have described prices as being soft.

“Customers who are looking to book larger tons have no problem getting deals of up to $2.00 cwt. ($44/mt or $40/nt) below the average range,” a source said. “Demand is still pretty good, but mills’ input costs have declined, so that’s putting pressure on the market.”
