Nucor Tubular Products (NTP) today announced they'll be raising prices on all new orders for HSS, pipe, mechanical and piling products by $2.50 cwt. ($55/mt or $50/nt), effective immediately, although orders booked prior to the announcement will be price protected for shipments through Nov. 6.

According to the increase announcement, "the increase is a result of continued strong demand. We continue to monitor tightness in the transportation market and the impact that could have on future transportation costs."
