Chinese seamless steel pipe prices have remained mostly stable during the past week. Overall trading activity has been weak amid offseason. Upstream billet prices fluctuated slightly which gives certain support to seamless pipe prices. But since demand remained weak, certain traders were willing to offer certain discounts in order to close more deals. As for the week ahead, it is believed that seamless steel pipe prices may see slight fluctuations.
Chinese welded steel pipe prices have moved down slightly during the past week. Upstream steel strip prices have fluctuated. Overall trading activity has been weak, leading certain traders to reduce their quoted prices in order to close more deals. As for the week ahead, considering that the weak demand may continue, it is believed that welded steel pipe prices may decline further.
