While another Izmir-based Turkish producer has reduced its price by $4/mt, while others have kept their prices stable since October 12. The general range is still at $365-376/mt for delivery to mill by truck. The fourth producer in the region has once again stopped accepting ship scrap for the time being. The declines recorded over the past week indicate that the downward pressure on the deep sea and short sea scrap segments is taking its toll on the ship scrap market.

In Turkey’s Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:

Producer

Price ($/mt)

Price change ($/mt)

Habaş

376

Ege Çelik

365

-4

İDÇ

365

All the above prices are for delivery to mill by truck.
