Rebar export price stabilizes in Brazil

SteelOrbis has been informed by a local exporter in Brazil that the rebar export prices of Brazil have remained unchanged since the 12 percent increase on December 1 and are still at $520/mt, FOB having the CA-50 grade, 10mm thickness product as reference.

In November, Gerdau exported 50,000 mt of rebar at $430/mt, the Votorantim Group exported 500 mt at $583/mt and Sinobras exported 100mt at $834/mt, all FOB conditions.

Latin American countries were the main destination with 48,400mt, while 2,300 mt were shipped to Africa.
