The reference price for the export of rebars by Brazilian producers is $860 per metric ton (mt), CFR conditions for the CA-50 grade, against $880/mt four weeks ago, for sales to South American countries.
In January 2026, Brazil exported 52,500 mt and imported 7,000 mt of rebars, against respectively 19,600 mt and 2,700 mt in December 2025, according to Secex.
The exports of January were destined to South America (42,500 mt at $645/mt) and to the US (10,000 mt at $552/mt), FOB conditions, shipped by ArcelorMittal (27,400 mt), Gerdau (24,900 mt) and Simec (200 mt).
The imports were from Russia (6,700 mt at $495/mt), Germany (200 mt at $1,664/mt) and the US (100 mt at $1,429/mt).
