SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that in the Bulgarian domestic long steel market prices have remained unchanged in the past two weeks. Market players state that, since inventory levels are at appropriate levels, Bulgarian traders are unwilling to conclude import purchases. Meanwhile, as traders are continuing to sell their products to the local market at current prices with reasonable margins, it is expected that the local Bulgarian long steel market will trend sideways for a while.

Rebar and wire rod import offers from Turkey to Bulgaria have increased by $20/mt over the past month and are now now standing at $610/mt CFR and at $615/mt CFR respectively. Meanwhile, ex-Turkey flat bar offers have increased by $25/mt to $665/mt CFR over the same period, while equal angle prices have increased by $20/mt to $655/mt CFR.
