Demand in the Bulgarian long steel market is reported to have increased in line with the warmer weather, while Turkish rebar offers to the country are still hovering at $615/mt CFR. In the meantime, Bulgarian market players state that Turkish rebar offers are still too high to gain acceptance. They say that they would start negotiations on new bookings with Turkish suppliers only after a price decline of $10/mt and a further strengthening of euro against the US dollar with the exchange rate reaching 1.33 which would make European rebar offers to Bulgaria higher than Turkish offers.
