As of April 10, a few Turkish merchant bar re-rollers have kept their export prices stable at $640-650/mt FOB compared to April 3, for late April-May shipment. However most international buyers are in wait-and-see mode as they expect Turkish merchant bar export prices may fall further. Sources report a few merchant bar re-rollers are offering aggressive prices below $640/mt FOB in order to generate sales.
Meanwhile, the SteelOrbis Turkish import billet daily reference price stands at $500-535/mt CFR, up by $5/mt week on week.
