Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) has issued its steel sales prices for September shipment. The details are as follows (all comparisons being with August prices):
1. Wire rod
Prices of wire rod have remained unchanged.
2. Hot rolled coil (HRC)
Prices of HRC have remained unchanged. As a result, 3.0 mm x 1,250 mm SPHC HRC is still priced at RMB 2,500/mt ($391/mt), 2.75 mm x 1,250 mm Q235 HRC is priced at RMB 2,500/mt ($391/mt), and 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm Q235 HRC costs RMB 2,470/mt ($386/mt).
3. Rolled plates
Prices of rolled plate products have remained unchanged. Currently, 14-40 mm Q235 medium plates are priced at RMB 2,640/mt ($413/mt), while 14-40 mm Q345 low alloy plates are still priced at RMB 2,750/mt ($430/mt).
4. Pickling
Prices of pickling products have remained unchanged.
5. Cold rolled plates
Prices of cold rolled plate products have remained unchanged. As a result, 1.0 mm Q195 cold rolled plate is priced at RMB 3,430/mt ($536/mt) and 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C Q195 cold rolled plate is priced at RMB 3,430/mt ($536/mt).
6. Hot dip galvanized (HDG)
Prices of HDG have remained unchanged. Currently, 1.0 mm DX51D+Z HDG plate is priced at RMB 4,260/mt ($666/mt) and 1.0 mm DX51D+Z coil is priced at RMB 4,170/mt ($652/mt).
7. Electro-galvanized (EG) products
Basic prices of EG products have remained unchanged. As a result, 1.0 mm DC01+ZE EG plate is priced at RMB 4,480/mt ($700/mt) and 1.0 mm DC01+ZE EG coil is priced at RMB 4,390/mt ($686/mt).
8. Pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI)
Prices of PPGI have remained unchanged. Currently, 1.0 mm TDC51D+Z PPGI coil is priced at RMB 5,230/mt ($817/mt).
9. Prices of channels, non-grain-oriented (NGO) silicon steel and grain-oriented silicon steel have remained unchanged. As a result, 0.5 mm 50WW470 high-grade NGO silicon steel is priced at RMB 5,250/mt ($820/mt) and 0.5 mm 50WW600 low-grade NGO silicon steel is priced at RMB 4,680/mt (731/mt).
All prices are ex-works, excluding 17 percent VAT, and are effective immediately.
