WISCO issues steel prices for December shipment

Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) has issued its steel sales prices for December shipment. The details are as follows (all comparisons being with November prices):
 
1. Wire rod
Prices of wire rod have increased by RMB 400/mt ($58/mt).
 
2. Hot rolled coil (HRC)
Prices of HRC have increased by RMB 400/mt ($58/mt). As a result, 3.0 mm x 1,250 mm SPHC HRC is still priced at RMB 3,810/mt ($557/mt), 2.75 mm x 1,250 mm Q235 HRC is priced at RMB 3,820/mt ($558/mt), and 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm Q235 HRC costs RMB 3,780/mt ($553/mt).
 
3. Rolled plates
Prices of rolled plate products have increased by RMB 400/mt ($58/mt). Currently, 14-40 mm Q235 medium plates are priced at RMB 3,890/mt ($569/mt), while 14-40 mm Q345 low alloy plates are still priced at RMB 4,000/mt ($585/mt).
 
4. Pickled rolled products
Prices of pickled rolled products have risen by RMB 300/mt ($44/mt).
 
5. Cold rolled plates
Prices of high quality of carbon and deep-drawing cold rolled plate products have increased by RMB 350/mt ($51/mt), while prices of other products have moved up by RMB 400/mt ($58/mt). As a result, 1.0 mm Q195 cold rolled plate is priced at RMB 4,720/mt ($690/mt) and 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C Q195 cold rolled plate is priced at RMB 4,670/mt ($683/mt).
 
6. Hot dip galvanized (HDG)
Prices of HDG have increased by RMB 350/mt ($51/mt). Currently, 1.0 mm DX51D+Z HDG plate is priced at RMB 6,760/mt ($988/mt) and1.0 mm DX51D+Z coil is priced at RMB 6,670/mt ($975/mt).
 
7. Electro-galvanized (EG) products
Basic prices of EG products have increased by RMB 350/mt ($51/mt). As a result, 1.0 mm DC01+ZE EG plate is priced at RMB 5,680/mt ($830/mt) and 1.0 mm DC01+ZE EG coil is priced at RMB 5,590/mt ($817/mt).
 
8. Pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI)
Prices of PPGI have been raised by RMB 400/mt ($58/mt). Currently, 1.0 mm TDC51D+Z PPGI coil is priced at RMB 5,860/mt ($857/mt).
 
9. Prices of channels, non-grain-oriented (NGO) silicon steel and grain-oriented silicon steel have increased by RMB 200/mt ($29/mt). As a result, 0.5 mm 50WW470 high-grade NGO silicon steel is priced at RMB 5,650/mt ($826/mt) and 0.5 mm 50WW600 low-grade NGO silicon steel costs RMB 5,430/mt (794/mt).
 
All prices are ex-works, excluding 17 percent VAT, and are effective immediately.
