Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) has issued its steel product prices for June shipment. The prices are as follows (comparisons being with May prices):
1. Hot rolled (HR)
I. The prices of common structural carbon, low alloy and high carbon structural steel coils of over 2.5 mm thickness have declined by RMB 80/mt ($12/mt), and the prices of common structural carbon, low alloy and high carbon structural steel sheet of over 2.5 mm thickness have declined by an additional RMB 20 mt ($3/mt) on top of the decline for coil prices.
II: The price decrease margins of common structural carbon, low alloy and high carbon structural coils of thickness equal to or less than 2.5 mm are as follows:

III. The prices of all other HRC products have decreased by RMB 80/mt ($12/mt).
Currently the prices of 3.0 mm x 1,250 mm SPHC grade hot rolled coil (HRC) and 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm Q235 grade HRC are respectively standing at RMB 3,960/mt ($627/mt) and RMB 3,930/mt ($622/mt).
2. Rolled plate
The price of high carbon steel, common steel, low alloy and shipbuilding sheet has decreased by RMB 50/mt ($7/mt), the price of NM360 steel has decreased by RMB 260/mt ($41/mt), the price of 22SiMn2, Q245R and Q345R grade steel has dropped by RMB 200/mt ($31/mt), and the prices of other products have remained unchanged. At present, 14-40 mm Q235A and 14-40 mm Q345A grade plate prices are standing at RMB 4,200/mt ($665/mt) and RMB 4,310/mt ($683/mt) respectively.
3. Cold rolled (CR)
The prices of common cold rolled (CR) steel products below 1.9 mm have declined by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt), and the prices of common cold rolled (CR) steel products of 1.9 mm and above have remained unchanged. The price of 1.0 mm Q195 grade cold rolled steel is currently at RMB 4,590/mt ($727/mt), while the price of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C Q195 grade cold rolled steel stands at RMB 4,590/mt ($727/mt)
4. Hot dip galvanized (HDG)
All the prices of HDG products have remained unchanged.
5. All the prices of electro-galvanized products have remained unchanged.
6. All prices of pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) products have remained unchanged.
7. Tinplate
The prices of tinplate products with thickness of 0.15-0.24 mm have declined by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt), and the prices of tinplate products with thickness of 0.25 mm have declined by RMB 60/mt ($9/mt), while other product prices have remained neutral. At present, the prices of 0.24 mm MR tinplate coil and 0.28 mm MR tinplate coil are standing at RMB 5,850/mt ($927/mt) and 5,770/mt ($914/mt).
8. Grain-oriented (GO) silicon steel
All product prices have remained unchanged.
9. Non-grain-oriented (NGO) silicon steel
The prices of products of low and medium steel grade have respectively decreased by RMB 100($15/mt) and RMB 50/mt ($7/mt), while the prices of products of high steel grade have decreased by RMB 200 ($31/mt). Currently, the prices of 0.5 mm 50WW600 and 0.5 mm 50WW800 NGO silicon steel are standing at RMB 5,510/mt ($873/mt) and RMB 5,270/mt ($835/mt).
10. Pickled steel
All prices have dropped by RMB 80/mt ($12/mt).
11 Wire rod
The prices of strand wire, welded wire, cable wire and spring steel have remained unchanged, the price of steel fiber has declined by RMB 50/mt ($7/mt), and the prices of other products have increased by RMB 60/mt ($9/mt).
12. H-beam
All heavy rail prices and H-beam prices have remained unchanged. At present, Q235 200 mm x 200 mm H-beam prices are at RMB 3,910/mt ($619/mt).
All the above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are ex-works, effective immediately.
