Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) has issued its steel product prices for March shipment. The prices are as follows (comparisons being with February prices):
1. Hot rolled (HR)
The prices of hot rolled coil (HRC) products have increased by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt), while prices of hot rolled sheet (HRS) products have increased by RMB 70mt ($11/mt). Accordingly, the new prices of 3.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C SPHC grade HRC, 2.75 mm x 1,250 mm Q235 HRC and 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm x C Q235 HRC are respectively RMB 3,990/mt ($634/mt), RMB 4,010/mt ($637/mt) and RMB 3,970/mt ($631/mt).
2. Rolled plate
All prices have remained unchanged. At present, 14-40 mm Q235A and 14-40 mm Q345A grade plate are priced at RMB 4,510/mt ($717/mt) and RMB 4,620/mt ($734/mt) respectively.
3. Cold rolled (CR)
The prices of cold rolled (CR) steel products have risen by RMB 150/mt ($23/mt). The price of 1.0 mm Q195 grade cold rolled steel is currently at RMB 4,690/mt ($745/mt), while the price of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C Q195 grade cold rolled coil (CRC) is standing at RMB 4,690/mt ($745/mt).
4. Hot dip galvanized (HDG)
All prices have moved up by RMB 50/mt ($7/mt). 1.0 mm DX51D+Z grade galvanized coil is now priced at RMB 4,750/mt ($755/mt).
5. Pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI)
All prices have risen by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt). Currently, 0.45 mm TDC51D+Z grade PPGI is priced at RMB 6,060/mt ($963/mt) ex-works.
6. Tinplate
The prices of tinplate products have remained unchanged. At present, the prices of 0.24 mm MR tinplate coil and 0.28 mm MR tinplate coil are standing at RMB 5,950/mt ($945/mt) and 5,770/mt ($917/mt) respectively.
7. Wire rod (WR)
(1). The prices of steel cord and welded steel products have remained unchanged, while the price of other products have decreased by RMB 50/mt ($7/mt). At present, prices of 6.5 mm 45# grade quality wire rod and 6.5 mm SWRCH22A grade cold heading steel are at RMB 3,950/mt ($627/mt) and RMB 4,040/mt ($642/mt).
8. Grain-oriented silicon steel
All prices have remained unchanged, with the price of 0.3 mm 30Q120 grain-oriented silicon steel still at RMB 16,040/mt ($2,550/mt).
9. Non-grain-oriented (NGO) silicon steel
Prices of NGO silicon steel products of steel grade below 50WW700 have risen by RMB 450/mt ($71/mt), while the prices of product of steel grade above 50WW700 have risen by RMB 200/mt ($31/mt), and other product prices have remained unchanged. Currently, the prices of 0.5 mm 50WW600 and 0.5 mm 50WW800 NGO silicon steel are standing at RMB 5,660/mt ($899/mt) and RMB 5,320/mt ($845/mt) respectively.
10. Pickled steel
All prices have risen by RMB 200/mt ($31/mt).
11. H-beam
All prices have increased by RMB 150/mt ($23/mt). 200 x 200 mm Q235 H-beam is now priced at RMB 3,790/mt ($602/mt).
All the above prices are ex-works and exclude 17 percent VAT.
