WISCO issues steel prices for November shipment

Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) has issued its steel product prices for November shipment. The prices are as follows (comparisons being with October prices):
 
1. Hot rolled (HR)

(1). The prices of SPHC, Q195, ordinary carbon, low carbon alloy and high carbon products with diameter up to 2.0 mm have fallen by RMB 180/mt ($28/mt);
(2). Prices of SPHC and Q195 product of other thicknesses have fallen by RMB 200 /mt ($31/mt), while the prices of ordinary carbon, high carbon and low carbon alloy shipbuilding plate have risen by RMB 260/mt ($40/mt). The prices of 3.0 mm x 1250 mm 8C SPHC HRC and 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm x C Q235 HRC currently stand at RMB 4,170/mt ($654) and RMB 4,410/mt ($ 645/mt) respectively. All above prices are ex-works.
(3). Other product prices remain unchanged.
 
2. Cold rolled (CR)

(1). The prices of ordinary carbon steel of grades Q195-215A, Q235A, Q275A, SPCC, DC01, WJD1, WJD2, SPCCT-EG, WMB1, WSB17C, WLS350-JD, WLS280-JD, SPCD-HS, and SPCE-HS have declined by RMB 150/mt ($23/mt), while other prices have remained unchanged. The price of 1.0 mm Q195 cold rolled steel is currently at RMB 4,720/mt ($740/mt), while the price of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x CQ195 cold rolled steel stands at RMB 4,700/mt ($737/mt), both ex-works.
 
3. Hot dip galvanized (HDG)

All product prices have fallen RMB 200/mt ($31/mt). Currently, 1.0 mm DX51D+Z galvanized coil stands at RMB 5,153/mt ($808/mt) ex-works. 
 
4. Pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI)

All prices have been reduced by RMB 200/mt ($31/mt). Currently, 0.45 mm TDC51D+Z PPGI is priced at RMB 6,475/mt ($1,016/mt) ex-works.
 
5. Tinplate

(1). The prices of products with thickness above 0.32 mm are down by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt), while products with thicknesses of up to 0.32 mm have fallen by RMB 200/mt ($31/mt). At present, 0.24 mm MR tinplate coil stands at RMB 6,301/mt ($989/mt), while 0.28 mm MR tinplate coil is priced at RMB 6,061/mt ($951/mt), both ex-works.
(2). The prices of products with 0.29 mm and 0.28 mm thickness are unchanged.
 
6. Wire rod (WR)

(1). 82Mn-QS products have risen in price by RMB 120/mt ($18/mt), while prices of welded steel and steel cord are unchanged.
(2). Prices of high carbon steel 35#~80#, cold heading steel and WSWRH82B have decreased by RMB 150/mt ($23/mt). Currently, 6.5 mm 45# high quality wire rod stands at RMB 4,350/mt ($682/mt), while 6.5 mm 22A cold heading is priced at RMB 4,420/mt ($693/mt), both ex-works.
(3). Other product prices have decreased by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt).
 
7. Non-grain-oriented (NGO) silicon steel

(1). The prices of medium number NGO silicon steel (including WHG-50) have fallen by RMB 500/mt ($78/mt), while prices of large number products are unchanged.
(2). The prices of small number NGO silicon steel products have fallen by RMB 400/mt ($62/mt).
 
All the above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are effective as of October 17, 2011.
