On February 14, Hubei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) announced increased sales prices for its steel products for March delivery. The details are as follows (comparisons being with prices for February delivery).
1. Prices of hot rolled coil have increased by RMB 300/mt ($45/mt), with prices of SPHC 2.75 mm × 1,250 mm ×C hot rolled coil rising to RMB 4,640/mt ($704/mt) and prices of Q235 5.5 mm × 1,500 mm ×C hot rolled coil increasing to RMB 4,520/mt ($685/mt).
2. Prices of hot rolled steel plate have increased by RMB 400/mt ($60/mt), with the price of Q235 14-20 mm hot rolled plate moving up to RMB 4,730/mt ($717/mt).
3. Prices of SPCC 1.0 mm cold rolled sheet have increased by RMB 300/mt ($45/mt) to RMB 5,200/mt ($789/mt), while prices of 1.0 mm cold rolled coil have also increased by RMB 300/mt ($45/mt), rising to RMB 5150/mt ($781/mt).
4. Prices of galvanized steel products have been raised by RMB 200/mt ($30/mt).
5. Color coated product prices have been increased by RMB 400/mt ($60/mt).
6. The prices of wire rod have gone up by RMB 200-260/mt ($30-39/mt).
All the above prices are ex-mill, effective from February 14, and do not include 17 percent VAT
