Galvanized steel prices increase in Taiwan

SteelOrbis has been informed that the price of JIS G3313 SECC electro-galvanized coils of 0.6-1.2 mm thickness in the local Taiwanese market is being quoted at NTD 21,000-23,500/mt ($636-711/mt), increasing by NTD 500-2,000 ($15-60/mt) as compared to last week.

Meanwhile, JIS G3312 CGCC pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) of 0.276-0.476 mm thickness is being quoted in the local Taiwanese market at NTD 25,500-27,500/mt ($772-833/mt), indicating an increase of NTD 500/mt ($15/mt) as compared to last week.

All prices include five percent VAT and are for late July shipments.
