Friday, 07 March 2025 14:28:21 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

Russian steelmaker Severstal has announced that it has completed the first stage of its expansion project for the production of hot rolled pickled galvanized steel at its Cherepovets plants, having started it in October last year.

The coated rolled products have key advantages such as durability, high strength and corrosion resistance. These can be applied in the production of light steel structures and corrugated spiral pipes, and in the construction of industrial complexes. In 2024, these products were in high demand in the construction and infrastructure sectors.

As a result of the project, which is slated for completion by late this year, the hot rolled pickled galvanized steel production capacity will increase by 20 percent.
