CRC imports in Brazil are negotiated at average of $675/mt, CFR conditions, down from $685/mt two weeks ago, according to sources.
In the Brazilian domestic market, producers are offering medium to large volumes of CRC of the basic commercial grades at BRL 6,300/mt ($1,133/mt), down from BRL 6,350/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, with all taxes except IPI included.
According to the foreign trade authority, SECEX, in May, Brazil exported 2,500 mt of and imported 29,500 mt of CRC, compared to 10,700 mt and 29,900 mt, respectively, in April.
In May, Usiminas shipped 1.900 mt of CRC at $1,100/mt to Argentina and 200 mt of CRC at $672/mt to Paraguay, while ArcelorMittal exported 400 mt of CRC at $1,291/mt to Argentina.
The imports came from China (18,200 mt at $584/mt), South Korea (10,900 mt at $640/mt), and Sweden (400 mt at $792/mt).
