The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) has announced that the wholesale sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in China are estimated at 1.22 million units in April this year, up 7.0 percent year on year, while rising by 7.0 percent month on month, marking the NEV market's transition out of the early-year low season and into a rebounding phase.

Due to the war in the Middle East, international oil prices have been at high levels, which has encouraged consumers to purchase NEVs instead of fuel-powered vehicles.

In addition, the Beijing Auto Show, coupled with a wave of new model launches, also boosted NEV sales.
