Wheatland, Pennsylvania-based pipe and tube manufacturer Wheatland Tube Co. announced Tuesday that expansion of the drawn-over-mandrel (DOM) operations at the plant are expected to begin in Q4 of this year, and will double the size of the Pennsylvania facility.
Production of more and larger DOM steel tubing is expected to begin in early 2013. Wheatland Tube, a division of the JMC Steel Group, announced plans for the expansion in June of this year.
