Uzmetkombinat ups crude steel output by 0.8 percent in Q1

Uzbekistan-based steel producer Uzmetkombinat has announced that in Q1 2011 it increased its crude steel output by 0.8 percent year on year to 177,500 mt, while its rolled steel product shipments amounted to 169,900 mt - up 0.5 percent from the forcasted 169,000 mt.
 
In Q1 this year, Uzmetkombinat's capital investments amounted to Belarus Ruble 12 billion (about $4 million), of which Belarus Ruble 10.2 billion (about $3.35 million) were directed towards the implementation of its modernization program.
