US rebar exports up 72.1 percent in June

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of rebar totaled 46,074 mt in June 2018, up 72.1 percent from May and up 57.8 percent from June 2017 levels. By value, rebar exports totaled $31.0 million in June, compared to $18.5 million in the previous month and $18.9 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most rebar to Canada in June with 43,473 mt, compared to 22,754 mt in May and 25,452 mt in June 2017. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US rebar exports in June.
