US rebar exports down 23.6 percent in November

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of rebar totaled 11,251 mt in November 2019, down 23.6 percent from October but up 0.5 percent from November 2018 levels. By value, rebar exports totaled $7.8 million in November, compared to $10.6 million in the previous month and $7.9 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most rebar to Canada in November with 8,863 mt, compared to 9,702 mt in October and 8,657 mt in November 2018. Other top destinations included Dominican Republic, with 1,349 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US rebar exports in November.
