According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 32,021 mt in October, up 32.2 percent from September and up 25.9 percent from October 2016 levels. By value, OCTG exports totaled $56.4 million in October, compared to $48.2 million in the previous month and $42.5 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most OCTG to Canada in October with 25,140 mt, compared to 17,899 mt in September and 16,961 mt in October 2016. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 1,518 mt; and Algeria, with 1,216 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US export OCTG in October.
