According to final census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of line pipe totaled 53,910 mt in February this year, down 31.8 percent from January and up 47.2 percent year on year. By value, line pipe imports totaled $80.2 million in February this year, compared to $106.4 million in January and $39.2 million in February 2024.
The US imported the most line pipe from Turkey in February with 17,136 mt compared to 0 mt in January and 0 mt in February last year. Other top sources of imported line pipe in February include South Korea with 17,029 mt, Ukraine with 6,332 mt, Mexico with 5,089 mt, Japan with 2,199 mt, India with 1,509 mt, and Georgia with 1,137 mt.
