According to final census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of standard pipe totaled 56,111 mt in January this year, up by nine percent compared to December and down 8.3 percent year on year. By value, standard pipe imports totaled $53.34 million in January, compared to $49.15 million in December and $73.19 million in January last year.
The US imported the most standard pipe from Thailand in January with 12,120 mt, compared to 11,706 mt in December and 2,541 mt in January 2025. Other top sources of imported standard pipe in January include the UAE with 11,450 mt, Canada with 7,309 mt, Oman with 4,977 mt, and Mexico with 4,449 mt.
