US HDG exports fall 11.1 percent in November

US exports of hot dipped galvanized sheets and strips totaled 89,804 mt in November, down 11.1 percent from October and down 0.8 percent from November 2015 levels. By value, exports totaled $89.1 million in November, compared to $100.2 million in the previous month and $85.5 million the same month last year.
 
The US shipped the most HDG to Canada in November, with 49,873 mt, compared to 55,446 mt in October and 51,420 mt in November 2015. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 37,144 mt compared to 42,887 mt in October and 38,525 mt in November 2015. Other notable destinations include Japan, with 1,083 mt, compared to 362.9 mt the previous month.
